Flourishing in the Middle East

In February, I visited the Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions in Doha, Qatar for a Flourish book reading and a great Q & A session with the students. Rick and Jim were there, too, and afterwards the principal, Linda Mabrie, asked me to sign a book for her and 4 more copies were donated to the school library, presented to Jon Weldon, Head of Curriculum and English teacher Aura Parsons. Thanks to Aura for the invitation to visit the school, and for organizing a chat later about writing with her English Advanced Placement students at Al Wakra cultural village. The students were wonderful and, go figure, we found out one of the girls was born in Saskatoon, and another student was applying to the Edwards School of Business here at the University of Saskatchewan! Jim even got to meet three members of the DeBakey high school Best Buddies chapter.
